The Gargoyles are a genre-bending ensemble rooted in raw authenticity, unfiltered soul, and decades of live musical experience. Formed by veteran artist Shane Cotter, whose journey includes sharing stages with legends like James Brown, George Clinton, and The Wailers, the band fuses funk, rock, jazz, and alternative into a sound that feels both timeless and immediate. After years of touring, recording, and collaborating with icons across the industry, Shane returned to Florida to assemble a group that reflects the wild heart and spiritual depth of his musical vision. Each member of The Gargoyles brings their own universe to the sound. Jade Bouchard, raised in the creative currents of San Jose, delivers rich guitar and bass lines layered with folk storytelling, jazz nuance, and expressive vocals. Ashley Noel DeLoach, a Savannah-born powerhouse, channels Southern blues, R&B, and jazz into soul-stirring lyrics and unforgettable vocal performances. Ryan Batista, a Miami native and multi-instrumentalist, blends his passion for movement, healing, and music into every note—his sound shaped by rock, reggae, and a life of artistic immersion. Holding it all together is Caryl, a drummer with roots in the New Jersey community and the island rhythms of the Virgin Islands. Caryl’s story is one of rhythm, evolution, and heart—a steady groove that fuels both the band’s pulse and its path forward. What began as a collaboration between Shane and Caryl has grown into a powerful collective.
