What a year we have had!

We hope you are all well!

Tim Finnegans is thriving thanks to our fantastic team and our wonderful Finn’s family of patrons

Season is in full swing. the level of entertainment passing through our doors is outstanding! Check out our new website to stay updated on our special events and local and International bands.

2018 was  an exceptional year for us. We were in Galway to pick up our 2nd Award at the Irish Hospitality Awards, where I was named Irish Pub Person of the year 2018 on the heels of the 2017 Award for Best Irish Community Pub in North America.

I was also proud to be invited to Washington DC, along with 40 of the top Irish pub owners in the USA and Canada for a workshop where we got to visit with the Irish Ambassador to the United States and his wife at their residence at the Irish Embassy. It was a great honour. I am proud to say out of the 40 publicans that I was one of only 2 women invited. We need more women in our trade it seems.

Locally in our town, we won The Best Bite Award in the city at The HOW Foundations Annual Best Bite in Delray. This was our 2nd win in a row, thanks to our Head Chef Jorge Andrade and his team.

On March 10th 2019 I am delighted to announce I am being honoured by The Emerald Society in Fort Lauderdale as Irish person of the year. What makes this award extra special is that day marks the 30th Anniversary of my move to the USA. What a way to celebrate the best decision I ever made! The American dream is alive and well if you ask me.

Our Finnegans Fun in the Caribbean Sun sets sail February 9th and we are very excited! 222 of us will be headed off on the high seas with some of the best Irish entertainment in the business.  Of course what happens at sea stays at sea… or probably on facebook! 😉

We are launching a new menu and new specials for you! Your old favourites will still be available with some new additions. Unfortunately after 10 years in business and due to rising food and labour costs, we have had to raise the prices slightly.

As always, we appreciate your continued support of our little pub in the best city in Florida. I hope to catch up with you all soon.

Slan,
Lisa Walsh
